3D Operations Specialist (m/w/d)
About the Role
We develop and manufacture high-end 3D scanning systems - full-body and object scanners - and deliver end-to-end workflows from capture to production-ready 3D assets. Our solutions are used internationally across industries that demand precision, speed, and reliable processes.
As our 3D Operations Specialist, you are the person who brings our technology to life in practice. You translate customer requirements into scan results, own the full operational workflow from briefing to delivered data, and ensure that every output meets the quality standards our clients expect. You work at the interface of our scanning systems, the data they produce, and the people who rely on them - collaborating closely with our Software, Hardware, Camera & Lights, and Electronics teams wherever workflows overlap.
This role is ideal for someone who combines technical curiosity with hands-on precision, communicates clearly with customers and colleagues alike, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and interpret customer requirements and translate them into the right scanning approach and setup
Operate botspot full-body and object scanning systems end-to-end - setup, calibration, execution, and output review
Prepare subjects and objects to ensure optimal scanning conditions (positioning, surface treatment, lighting configuration)
Process and prepare scan data for delivery - including quality checks, file preparation, and format conversion as required
Document workflows, scan parameters, project details, and quality outcomes accurately and consistently
Identify and report technical issues, anomalies, or quality deviations promptly and clearly
Communicate proactively with customers during projects - managing expectations and flagging relevant updates
Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional tasks and improvements
Contribute to the ongoing refinement of operational processes and scanning workflows
Your Profile
You're a precise and reliable specialist who takes full ownership of your work - from understanding what a customer needs to delivering data they can use. You're technically curious, comfortable working with complex systems, and confident communicating with both clients and internal teams.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
Work with precision, care, and a strong sense of responsibility
Have experience operating technical systems or working in a production, imaging, or data-oriented environment
Are comfortable reading and understanding customer briefs and translating them into operational decisions
Have an interest in photography, photogrammetry, imaging, or adjacent visual technologies
Bring basic to solid experience with relevant software tools and file formats (3D data experience is a plus)
Think analytically and stay solution-oriented when things don't go to plan
Communicate clearly and proactively - with customers and across teams
Work independently, structured, and conscientiously - and take ownership of your results
Hold a degree in a technical or scientific field, or bring equivalent hands-on experience
Communicate in German and English
