Open Position

3D Scanner Technician (m/w/d)

About the Role

We develop and manufacture high-end 3D scanning systems - full-body and object scanners - and deliver end-to-end workflows from capture to production-ready 3D assets. Our solutions are used internationally across industries that demand precision, reliability, and technical excellence.

As our 3D Scanner Technician, you are a core part of what makes botspot's systems exceptional. You build, commission, maintain, and repair our scanning systems with skill and care - working directly with the hardware that our customers rely on. You read technical drawings, handle complex assemblies, and take hands-on ownership of the production process from component level to finished system. When customers receive a botspot scanner, your work is what they experience.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in technical craftsmanship, is comfortable working across mechanical and electrotechnical disciplines, and wants to be directly involved in building technology that pushes the boundaries of what 3D scanning can do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble botspot full-body and object scanning systems and their components, working from technical drawings and 3D models

  • Commission, maintain, and repair scanning systems - ensuring reliable performance at every stage

  • Handle, prepare, and rework materials and individual parts as required for assembly and quality

  • Actively participate in troubleshooting, testing, and functional adjustment of scanner systems

  • Take ownership of your section of the production process - from incoming parts to finished, verified systems

  • Support scanner installations at customer sites domestically and internationally, including occasional travel

  • Collaborate with the Hardware, Electronics, and R&D teams on technical challenges and continuous improvement

Your Profile

You're a skilled and reliable technician who takes pride in precision work and isn't afraid to get into the details. You're comfortable with both the structured side of production and the problem-solving that comes with working on complex, custom systems.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a qualification as a technician or tradesperson, ideally with an electrotechnical background

  • Bring several years of experience in a production or assembly environment

  • Are confident reading and working from technical drawings and 3D models

  • Have solid knowledge of common manufacturing and assembly techniques

  • Work proactively, structured, and reliably - and take ownership of your results

  • Are enthusiastic about working with cutting-edge hardware and pushing technical limits

  • Have experience with inventory management systems and/or CAD - a genuine plus

  • Hold a valid driver's license

  • Communicate in German and English

What You Can Expect

  • A central hands-on role in a fast-growing, international high-tech company

  • Daily work on state-of-the-art full-body and object 3D scanning systems - from individual components to complete builds

  • A collaborative culture with flat hierarchies and a passionate, skilled team

  • Close involvement with Hardware, Electronics, and R&D - with real influence on how systems are built and improved

  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities

  • Free parking and complimentary beverages

  • Urban Sports Club corporate membership
