Porcelain Dish

Ideal for antique and collectibles digitisation, auction house catalogues, heritage archiving and decorative arts documentation.

The porcelain dish was scanned using the botspot Studio Scanner on a glass plate. White, glossy surfaces are typically problematic for photogrammetry as they reflect light inconsistently and lack the surface variation cameras need to calculate geometry. The scan was made possible using botspot's digital spray, which projects a pattern onto the surface, allowing the scanner to capture the full geometry including the pierced lattice rim and blue floral detail accurately.
