Candlestick

The porcelain candlestick was scanned using the Momentum 2.0 and reconstructed in Metashape before being trained as a Gaussian splat in Postshot. The splat format is particularly well suited to this object: the high-gloss glaze produces strong specular highlights that photogrammetry mesh alone struggles to reproduce convincingly. By training a splat from the reconstructed data, the characteristic sheen of the porcelain surface is preserved alongside the hand-painted purple foliate motifs, gilt banding and small floral sprays. The result is a model that captures not just the form of the candlestick but also the material quality that defines it.
