The football was captured on a turntable using a Canon R5 under controlled studio lighting. The turntable setup allows consistent, evenly spaced coverage around the full circumference of the object, while the studio lights were positioned to bring out the fine pebbled texture of the leather surface without introducing harsh reflections. The result captures the raised lace assembly, the stitching detail along the seams and the printed NFL shield and team branding at a level of fidelity suited to close inspection. Scanning sports equipment of this kind demonstrates how branded consumer goods with complex surface texture and mixed materials can be documented accurately in 3D for digital use.
